Power Up! Already limiting sweetened drinks? Try a flavored water recipe. One of your handouts for this week lists several ideas to add flavor to your water. Serve the flavored water with three family meals to get everyone involved in staying hydrated.
TIP: Hijack a Habit! It can make it easier to add and sustain a new, healthy habit if you take something you already do, like grabbing a bottled juice or soda on your way out the door, and give it a healthier spin. The routine is already in place; the key is to set it up so you make the healthy swap. One way to do this may be to fill a water bottle and place it in your fridge the night before. Grab it on your way out the door and bam - you have your healthy hydration!
